JUSTICE THOMAS GIVES NEW MEANING TO ‘OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE’ WITH LATEST VOTE

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 14) — Today, the Supreme Court rejected a bid from Arizona GOP Chair Kelli Ward to block the January 6 Committee’s access to her phone records. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito were in dissent.

Take Back the Court Action Fund released the following statement on behalf of its executive director, Sarah Lipton-Lubet, in response:

“With his repeated, brazen efforts to hide his wife’s incriminating conversations, Clarence Thomas is giving new meaning to the term ‘obstruction of justice.’

“Thomas’ repeated efforts to kneecap the January 6th Committee’s investigation into the deadly Capitol insurrection tell us everything we need to know about where his loyalties lie. We need a Supreme Court that works for the American people, not for the Republican Party, and the only way we’ll get there is by adding four new seats.”
