AHEAD OF ROE ANNIVERSARY, LIPTON-LUBET CALLS ON LEADERS TO SUPPORT COURT EXPANSION

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 20, 2022) — Ahead of this Sunday's anniversary of Roe v. Wade — the first in 50 years where Americans will not enjoy a constitutionally protected right to abortion — Take Back the Court Action Fund released the following statement:

“As our elected leaders espouse their commitments to protecting abortion access this weekend, the truth is that progress depends on unrigging this stolen Court,” said Take Back the Court Action Fund President Sarah Lipton-Lubet. “Our rights to bodily autonomy and access to abortion, birth control, and other essential health care will never be safe under this Court’s extremist right-wing supermajority. Any plan to restore our reproductive rights must include a plan to expand the Court.”
